We assisted the SPCA of Texas back in 2000 with the landscaping at their then new facility located on FM 720 and Custer in McKinney by  making a monetary donation to help pay for plants for their new landscape. We feel that pets are as much therapy to people as gardening. Since we are in Allen, we will feature pets each month from the Allen Animal Shelter that need a forever home. Pets needing new homes from the SPCA of Texas and other local animal rescue groups can be found at Petfinder.

Nikki is a female great dane mix who is about 8 years old. She is up to date on her vaccinations and
already spayed. She is from a home with older kids (teenagers), and reportedly is nervous around younger children. She is reported to have some anxiety with thunder, fireworks, or vacuums. Nikki is reported to be friendly with other dogs and cats. She doesn’t like big bowls and may have some trust issues with hard flooring such as wood or tile. This old girl deserves a loving home where she can live what is remaining of her life. If you own another dog, the Allen Animal Shelter does require a meet and greet at their facility with your current dog(s) prior to
approving the adoption. If you think Nikki might be a good fit for your family, please call the Allen Animal Shelter at 214-509-4378 to schedule a time to meet
her. Click her picture to view her information on Petfinder.
